GISLab works to expand GIS technology in various ways, including development of enhanced 3-dimensional modeling capabilities. 3-D models have many practical applications, some of which are listed below. We apply the specialized software applications developed by GISLab to the unique GIS needs of our customers in such diverse fields as earth sciences, security, agriculture, and environment.

• 3-D GIS Modeling

- Surface and subsurface hydrological flow
- Contaminant dispersal and porous flow studies
- Structural geology
- Subsurface volcanic plumbing
- Mining, ore body, and petroleum reservoir studies
- Relationship of geologic structure to topography

• 3-D GIS Analysis

- Solar insolation studies for crop and forest productivity, viticulture, snowmelt
