What's New

GISLab is a full-function GIS facility offering multiple, technologically up-to-date GIS services and consultation for LANL organizations and projects. We employ a robust, enterprise GIS that allows for large-scale storage and serving of spatial data. See the list of GISLab capabilities.

Services:

- Cartography (hardcopy production and Internet map service)
- Enterprise GIS using the ESRI Spatial Data Engine (ArcSDE) and the Oracle relational database
- Custom GIS applications development
- Spatial analysis and modeling
- 3-D GIS
- Internet GIS using ArcSDE and ArcIMS
- Consultation on spatial data management and GIS technology
- Training on metadata and GIS technology

Please see our Standard Budget Rates.

As a leader in GIS technology at LANL we plan to offer or coordinate training on ESRI's ArcGIS software, and on other technologies such as the use of the Global Positioning System (GPS). We encourage GIS users and project leaders to inquire about how we can help with their GIS needs, questions and issues.
